Introduction to Analytical Chemistry (CHM 3120)

Our final exam is Tuesday, December 10, from 5:30p to 7:30p in 255 FLH (our usual lecture hall).

No new materials will be added to the course website after 2:00p on Monday, December 9. If any changes are made to solutions after that, a notice will also be emailed to the class. Anything after 6:00 pm on Monday, December 9, will be sent by email.

As I mentioned in class, the original Unit III Homework set is no longer valid because the only new material for the final exam will be spectroscopy, specifically using Beer’s law to determine concentration and maybe answer a question or work a problem using that concentration. In addition to a couple of problems from the old exams, valid homework problems can be found at the end of the Spectrophotometry chapter in Harris, or by clicking here: Beer’s law problems from Harris
Solutions for the end-of-chapter (EoC) problems in Harris are posted below in the section Solutions to EoC Problems from Harris. The bulk of the final will cover material that was fair game for the first two exams, including balancing redox reactions in water under acidic or basic conditions.
